Tango
"El tango es tan antiguo como el hombre, nació con el primer dolor del alma." The tango is a soulful, sentimental music and dance, singing themes of love, disappointment, and Argentinian culture.

Flamenco
El Flamenco has deep roots in the region of southern Spain, Andalucia. The word 'flamenco' derives from the Arabic word, "Felah-Mengus" meaning 'wandering pheasant.' The common staples of flamenco music include a singer (cantante), guitarist (guitarra), and dancer (bailarina) who uses her hands and instruments, castanets, as she dances. In 2010 UNESCO recognized flamenco as a World Heritage Treasure to pay tribute to it's integral place in Spanish culture and in order to preserve flamenco music for many years to come

Bachata
This musical genre comes from Latin America, especially from la República Dominicana (the Dominican Republic). The word 'bachata' is synonymous for 'fiesta' (party) or a social gathering. It is lively, rhythmic music that invites you to join in and dance! Instruments used in bachata vary, however, typically you will find guitars, bongos, and an instrument used in the Dominican Republic, una güira.
